Most Caddo Parish Schools Closed Thursday, September 1st

Due to a city-wide boil advisory, all Caddo Parish schools that use Shreveport’s water system will be forced to shut-down on Thursday, September 1st.

The announcement means that most little ones in Caddo Parish will have an extra long five-day weekend, with Caddo Parish learning virtually on Friday, and Labor Day on Monday.

However, there are area schools who will be open and fully operational on Thursday. You can find the list of schools open tomorrow below.

  • Northwood High School
  • Donnie Bickham Middle School
  • Blanchard Elementary School
  • North Caddo High School
  • North Caddo Elementary/Middle School
  • Mooringsport Elementary
  • Herndon Magnet School
  • Keithville Elementary/Middle School
  • All Head Start classes in Shreveport
